Palmer Digital Group has introduced a fresh lineup of on-wall outdoor digital menu boards tailored to the restaurant industry. This new series specifically caters to Quick Service Restaurants (QSRs) and fast-casual dining establishments that contend with spatial limitations for traditional menu board installations. The targeted businesses encompass those situated in outdoor shopping complexes, strip malls, and bustling urban locales.

The OWDMB series offers an array of configurations, including single, double, and triple display setups, featuring screen sizes of 46, 49, and 55 inches. Chuck Lewis, Vice President of Palmer Digital Group (PDG), highlighted the significance of this innovation, stating, "A growing number of QSRs and fast-casual restaurants have recognized the drive-thru segment as a vital revenue stream. However, many of these establishments face constraints when it comes to installing conventional pedestal-style menu boards. We believe that all QSRs should harness the advantages of digital menu boards, irrespective of space limitations in their drive-thru lanes. To address these challenges, we've introduced a novel product line."

The OWDMB series seamlessly bridges the gap between limited real estate and the burgeoning demand for enhanced customer experiences in the fast-paced world of restaurant service.

In contrast to PDG's pedestal-style presentations, the on-wall outdoor menu boards eliminate the need for a concrete foundation. These systems are effortlessly affixed to a flat wall surface capable of accommodating up to 600 pounds, achievable by initially installing a sheet of ¾-inch outdoor-grade plywood onto the wall. Prior to installation, power and data cables are routed through the wall. For optimal viewing, the suggested OWDMB display heights range between 48 and 52 inches, aligned with the center of the viewers' sightlines.

With each OWDMB on-wall digital menu board system, PDG offers internally crafted enclosures rated at IP56, designed to shield against adverse weather conditions and other environmental factors. These enclosures additionally accommodate the company's quad-outlet box, surge filters, and media players, all while being discreetly installed to remain inconspicuous from customer sightlines.

Lewis noted that PDG values the customer feedback it receives because it leads to new solutions, such as the OWDMB series. “Our partners and end customers are our eyes and ears in the field and can see any problems or issues that we may not be able to identify during the product design phase,” he said. “We take suggestions seriously and try to incorporate any changes or modifications that will not raise the cost of the existing equipment to satisfy the needs of our customers.”
